Mindfulness & three principles psychology

"We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think.

Buddha

When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.”

What if our life and experiences are not the source of our unhappiness?

Consider yourself for a moment. What is the quality of your thinking? What is your felt sense each day? Are you present in the moment or are you anxious and fearful about what might happen in the future, or are you angry and frustrated – unable to let go of what may have happened in the past? Are you stuck and unable to move forward in a particular area of your life? Would you like to have the power to change your experience of life, so that some of those feelings can fall away and let you tap into the happiness and health that is always there? Mindfulness and an understanding of mind, consciousness and thought can help.

Our thinking determines our experience of life and the quality of our thinking determines the quality of our lives. Our experience of life is always an inside out job, even though it appears that external events are making us feel a certain way. As we learn to notice our thinking, our minds quieten down, our feelings change and our experience and reality changes too. We regain the ability to tap into the innate wisdom and health that is always there, and from this place stress falls away and we are able to react to life and challenges with a much wiser, calmer and more hopeful perspective.

When we get caught up in our thinking, especially when it is negative or upsetting, we temporarily block our natural ease and positive feelings, as well as the ability to access our own clarity and wisdom. However, we never lose access to these resources and the more we can recognise our state of mind, the easier these resources are to tap into.

Becoming aware of your thinking will not stop you experiencing the ups and downs in life, but it will help you to navigate through the experience more easily and be less negatively affected. This, in turn, gives you more contentment and well-being and gives you back the power to be in control of your life.

Learning mindfulness through meditation and the intention to live every moment mindfulfully, you start to become present. When you are fully in the present you no longer worry about the future or dwell on the past. From this place you can be the best you. When you work with a transformative coach one-on-one, you discover the thought-derived blocks and limitations that have previously held you back. The insights gained are often transformational, leading to major, beneficial changes in your home, work and personal life.

Client Feedback

“Thanks for taking the time to talk with me and to give me further insight into how thinking was playing a part in the situation we discussed. It is really good to see that I instinctively and intuitively understand how my thoughts affect my feelings and to see how I use this knowledge to help me let go of my thinking so that I can remain calm and centered no matter what is going on around me. It was great to speak to you about this – really helpful – thanks!”
